FAQs
How fast can brokers close loans?
Faster than retail. Let’s take UWM as an example. UWM is always overstaffed. They don’t over-condition loans, and their turn times are typically 1 business day. It’s very difficult to miss a COE with UWM unless you have a complicated loan.
Does district lending charge lender fees?
No. Every LE that goes out will not have a processing or underwriting fee.
Is processing good?
Yes! We believe in “go get another loan.” Don’t worry about loans in process. We will teach you how to not be so involved with your loans. Submit them to processing, and they’ll take it to the finish line. If you’re an AZ loan officer, we also send out weekly LSUs.
Why is compensation so good?
You worked hard to get your loans and you deserve to be compensated as such. Retail lenders have too many layers of management. When was the last time your divisional manager did anything for you? When you get a loan you’re essentially paying their salary + Bonus and they aren’t helping you grow your business.
If a file gets declined can I send it to a new lender?
Yes! That’s one of the benefits of brokering.
If I lock a loan and rates move down in a week can I flip it?
Yes! Being a broker means you’re never tied to one specific lender.
Can I get PE’s being a broker?
Yes and No. You, in a way, set your compensation on a file. If you wanted to be more competitive on a loan, you could, depending on what you wanted to make on the deal. So instead of asking managers for PEs, you can just take one.
Is the tech stack at District Lending good?
Yes, we use LoanSifter to pull in all lenders’ rates quickly, and we use Arive for our POS. It’s web-based and extremely fast and easy to navigate. If you’d like to see a demo, let us know!
